Celebrating International Yoga Day, Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa – Handwritten Collection hosts a curated mindfulness session to recentre the body, mind, and soul.
While Bali is famed for its tropical magnificence and vibrant nightlife, another side of the island’s allures lies at its quietest within a wellness-driven spirituality. As International Yoga Day approaches, Nusa Dua Hotel & Spa – Handwritten Collection is marking the occasion on 20 June 2026 with a morning session designed to celebrate the island’s mind-centring heritage along its picturesque coast, taking guests on a Journey to Wellness.
This curated programme is designed around relaxation, mindfulness, and renewal to restore inner balance. The morning begins bright and early at 7am as Putu Dwijendra of Udana Yoga Academy leads Sunrise Yoga among the lush tropical backdrop of the Nusa Dua Garden.
Combining Surya Namaskar and Udana Namaskar sequences, the movements are synchronised with breath work for a harmonious flow. It opens up one’s body to the flow of Prana through its primary energy channels of Ida, Pingala, and Sushumna, leaving participants in a refreshed and revitalised state. Kapalabhati Pranayama, an energising breathing technique, closes out this first session.
Following a wellness talk afterwards, the itinerary concludes with a special sound healing session by Komang Abdi, known by his online moniker thebalinesehealer, inside the Keraton Ballroom. Wielding Tibetan singing bowls and other instruments, he leads guests into a state of emotional wellbeing, allowing participants to release tension, find stillness among mental noise, and reconnect with the self through quietude and meditative moments.
