Bouquet of Love by the Beach

After its first successful collaboration in Jakarta, Potato Head Family – Indonesian-based lifestyle company from the Potato Head brand, Kaum, and Katamama hotel fame – works together again with one of Indonesia’s most noteworthy contemporary artists, Eko Nugroho, in Bali. The collaborative effort takes shape in a massive installation, poetically titled Bouquet of Love. The 10x7m installation is built by Eko and his team from 300kg of collected refuse, including plastic buckets, water and soda bottles, and electronics, collected from local waste collectors and junkyards.

Bouquet of Love will be showcased to the public on 10th August 2017 on Potato Head Beach Club’s upper level, and it will be on display for a limited period of time, in which the beach club’s visitors can enjoy the art too. Eko explains that the project – which takes five weeks to assemble – aims to connect art and environmental issues to be presented to the public.

The installation is part of Potato Head Family’s philosophy of “good times and do good”. The beach club, which is famed for its iconic architecture and idyllic tropical setting, regularly works together with great talents from different creative fields, like art, music, fashion, design and more from all over the world. And its collaboration with Eko Nugroho is another event that shouldn’t be missed, especially for those who have a knack for art and social awareness.
