The Apurva Kempinski Bali Honours Indonesia’s Creative Spirit with the Powerful Indonesia Festival 2026

Celebrating Indonesia’s Independence Day through art, culture and craftsmanship, The Apurva Kempinski Bali presents the Powerful Indonesia Festival 2026, a two-day showcase highlighting the nation’s extraordinary creative heritage.

The spirit of independence consistently inspires The Apurva Kempinski Bali in organising its annual event, Powerful Indonesia. This year, with the same respect for the spirit of Nusantara, they present the Powerful Indonesia Festival 2026, a vibrant celebration of the nation’s artistic excellence, cultural diversity, and creative craftsmanship. Taking place on 16 and 17 August 2026 at the resort’s Candi Ballroom, the festival commemorates Indonesia’s Independence Day with an immersive programme that brings together artists, artisans, designers and performers from across the archipelago.

Open to the public from 10am to 8pm, the two-day festival offers a curated journey through contemporary Indonesian creativity. Guests can explore art exhibitions, live artistic performances and an artisan marketplace featuring handcrafted creations by local makers, alongside collaborative showcases designed to celebrate the country’s rich cultural identity. The thoughtfully curated programme creates a dynamic platform where tradition and innovation meet, inviting visitors to discover Indonesia through compelling visual arts, design and craftsmanship.

The festival continues The Apurva Kempinski Bali’s long-standing commitment to showcasing Indonesia’s heritage through meaningful guest experiences. Since launching the Powerful Indonesia initiative, the resort has collaborated with artists, cultural figures, culinary experts and creative communities to position Indonesian culture on the global stage while encouraging sustainable and authentic cultural appreciation.

Beyond serving as an exhibition, the Powerful Indonesia Festival reflects the resort’s vision of luxury rooted in cultural storytelling. Through immersive experiences spanning art, music and craftsmanship, The Apurva Kempinski Bali invites both local and international audiences to celebrate the creativity, diversity, and enduring spirit that continue to define Indonesia, transforming the Independence Day celebration into a meaningful cultural encounter.
