Haute couture, cultural performances, and delectable cuisine come together as Erika Peña took over Miss Fish for a dazzling Chinese New Year celebration.
Erika Peña welcomed the Year of the Fire Horse with an intimate celebration at Miss Fish Bali. The Japanese restaurant and nightlife destination was decked in intricate geometric patterns, bright cherry blossoms, and lanterns with dangling tassels that set the stage for the Dominican-Puerto Rican designer’s haute couture creations.
The evening brought together 14 extraordinary women whom Erika hand-selected. They served as muses for custom-made couture gowns she personally designed. Her Latin roots and resort wear sensibilities are reimagined through luxurious Chinese brocade fabrics and bespoke detailing that responds to each individual’s spirit. The result is a thoughtful design with unique silhouettes, from dramatic ruffles and decorative appliqués that evoke traditional Chinese design to draping trains that impart a sophisticated edge. Hera Studio Bali completes the appearance with flawless makeup looks.
A seven-course dining spread, curated by Miss Fish’s own Chef Carlos, took the celebrations further, adding a refined culinary touch. Meanwhile, traditional sword dance and Chinese fan dance performances pay tribute to the heritage of Chinese culture with style, elegance, and glamour. The multifaceted evening continued to reflect Erika Peña’s dedication to honouring women through fashion, storytelling, and distinctive experiences.
