Q: What are your responsibilities?
A: I currently lead the branding, marketing, and creative functions at iNi ViE Hospitality, overseeing an in-house team of around 80 people across various departments. Beyond strategy, supervision, and mentoring, my core responsibility lies in leading people. Each individual brings a unique character, culture, and background, and I believe that the sustainability of any team ultimately depends on the people behind it.
Q: What’s the toughest part of your job?
A: Bali’s hospitality landscape is still relatively new to me, as I only entered the industry in 2021. It demands constant readiness, agility and sensitivity. iNi ViE Hospitality is where I have truly learned and grown, navigating the layered challenges of leading diverse markets, categories, and guest expectations. The challenge is to ensure our brands are never perceived merely as products to sell, but as places rich with stories, meaning, and lasting impressions.
Q: What do you find most satisfying in your job?
A: Having moved from Jakarta to Bali, I feel deeply grateful to be part of a strong and supportive team that feels like family. For me, achievement lies in the journey we share, with all its highs and lows. I have always believed that a workplace should be a space where people can learn, grow, and gain wisdom. That, to me, is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my role.
Q: Who has been the most influential figure in your career?
A: It would be our CEO and founder, Pak Anak Agung Gede Dwi Permadi, whom I fondly call Pak Dwi. He placed his trust in me despite my lack of prior experience in Balinese hospitality, giving me the space to grow here. He is open-minded, insightful, and approachable, fostering genuine closeness with his team both professionally and personally.
Q: Name one really special thing about your property ecosystem.
A: We describe ourselves as a memorable one-stop experience. Our strength lies in creating a comprehensive journey that transforms each stay into something deeply personal and emotionally engaging across multiple touchpoints. Within our ecosystem, travellers can discover a wide range of distinctive experiences, each with its own character.
Q: If you hadn’t taken this career path, what would you have chosen?
A: I have always been drawn to marketing, branding, communications and creative work, regardless of the industry. Over the past 15 years, I have built my career in this role across various industries. I believe I would have found my way into integrated marketing communications in one form or another. Otherwise, I would likely have pursued a path as an entrepreneur.
