The Winner of Exquisite Awards 2022 – Best New Luxury Hotel Bali: Jumeirah Bali

Arguably the most anticipated opening in 2022, Jumeirah Bali is definitely worth the wait. Part of the internationally known luxury hospitality company Jumeirah Group, the opulent resort marks the first Jumeirah property in Indonesia. The lavish all-villa resort is perched in a picturesque location in Uluwatu, boasting a uniquely lush terrain that leads all the way down to the mesmerising beach.

Jumeirah Bali credits its main inspiration as the Majapahit Empire, a Javanese Hindu-Buddhist kingdom that ruled the region around the 14th century, embellished by a significant hint of the enchanting magic of Bali. The resort comprises tiered royal gardens, massive pillars, charming water features and verdant Bodhi trees – each evokes the ancient royalty feel, elevated by a sophisticated touch of luxury. Other noteworthy features include a swimming pool that is inspired by Kolam Segaran, Majapahit’s legendary reservoir and symbol of prosperity and happiness; as well as the scenic replica of the kingdom’s Trowulan ruins.

With no less than 123 villas that encompass one- and two-bedroom configurations, the resort also takes pride in its exclusive four-bedroom Royal Water Palace. Each of the villas comes with a private swimming pool, an outdoor area, and an open pavilion with an ocean or garden view. Guests are also allowed exclusive access to an idyllic private beach.

When it comes to facilities and service, Jumeirah Bali aims to give only the best. Led by Executive Chef Vincent Leroux, the culinary front at the resort offers three dining and drinking destinations. AKASA serves a unique culinary concept with ancient cooking techniques and an underground wine cellar; the all-day dining Segaran Dining Terrace offers Balinese and Southeast Asian fare, highlighting the farm-to-table philosophy; while Maja Sunset Lounge is ready to accompany your sunset hour with cocktails and light bites to be enjoyed by the infinity pool.

One of the stellar features of the resort is Jumeirah’s award-winning Talise Spa, offering five private treatment rooms, sauna, steam bath, Vichy shower, a wide range of wellness activities and treatments, and the best of all, the only traditional Turkish hammam in Bali.
