In celebration of its 10th anniversary, Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, has unveiled The Mandapa River Estate, a newly reimagined Three Bedroom Villa, shaped by the spiritual energy of Ubud and the steady flow of the sacred Ayung River.
Set beside the resort’s 500-year-old temple, the estate is entered through a grand, hand-carved wooden gate adorned with motifs of local flora and fauna. Designed according to the Balinese architectural principles of Asta Kosala Kosali and influenced by the ancient Majapahit Kingdom, the gateway symbolises harmony and balance, marking the passage between the human world and the realm of spirits.
Spanning 2,000sqm, The Mandapa River Estate offers three private bedrooms with modern en-suite bathrooms, including a master suite with an adjoining twin room. Accommodating up to nine guests, the estate is designed for both shared moments and quiet retreat. Indoor and outdoor living areas are complemented by a fully equipped kitchen, dining spaces and an alfresco pergola.
At its heart lies an infinity pool that appears to merge with the surrounding landscape, with the Ayung River providing a soothing presence. Interiors are decorated with earthy accents and natural materials, enriched by hand-painted murals and bespoke artworks by Balinese artisans.
