Padma Musical Series Returns with Awakening – From Silence to Song

An evocative Easter weekend concert tracing a journey of renewal, light, and artistic rebirth through the voices of three acclaimed musicians.

After a short interlude, the Padma Musical Series returns this Easter weekend with a compelling new programme, Awakening – From Silence to Song, set to take place on 4 April in Legian. Opening the 2026 season, the concert brings together three internationally recognised artists for an evening that promises both emotional depth and musical brilliance.

At the forefront is Bulgarian pianist and conductor Ivan Yanakov, whose distinguished career has seen him perform across more than 30 countries. Known for his expressive style and expansive repertoire, Yanakov has appeared at some of the world’s most esteemed venues, including Carnegie Hall’s Recital Hall in New York and Cadogan Hall in London. His refined artistry and technical mastery set the tone for what is expected to be a standout performance.

Joining him is French violinist Ambroise Aubrun, widely praised for his sensitivity and versatility. With an international career spanning major concert halls across Europe, the Americas and Australasia, Ambroise is equally respected as a chamber musician and educator. His collaborations extend beyond classical music, having performed with artists such as Herbie Hancock and Pink Martini, bringing a unique breadth of expression to the stage.

Completing the trio is Indonesian cellist Bryant Gozali, a leading figure in the country’s classical music scene. As co-Principal Cellist of the Jakarta Simfonia Orchestra and a founding member of the Jakarta Trio, Gozali is celebrated for his musicality and strong artistic presence, as well as his enduring connection to the Padma Musical Series.

Together, the trio will present a thoughtfully curated programme featuring works by Mendelssohn, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff and Fauré, alongside contemporary compositions. More than a concert, Awakening unfolds as a reflective journey, one that mirrors the spirit of Easter and the promise of new beginnings.
