A wellness retreat with Plataran Puncak, providing guests with various reflective activity. Guests had the chance to reconnect with themself while enjoying the stay in the cool highlands of Bogor.
Last July, Plataran Puncak held a wellness activity titled Plataran Wellness: Reconnect with Yourself, a three-day, two-night retreat that brought together wellness enthusiasts, nature lovers and those seeking to restore balance. Set in the cool highlands of Bogor, the programme combined nature immersion, holistic practices and Indonesian-rooted traditions.
The retreat featured Stephanie Hoo, founder of A Gracious Life, whose background spans more than ten holistic disciplines, including aromatherapy, Qigong, bio therapy and lifestyle medicine. She led participants through a tailored wellness journey blending science-based methods with mindful approaches.
The programme followed Plataran’s “Three X Factors”: Experience, Exoticism and Excellence. The first day began with a jamu welcome drink and a hands-on harvesting session, followed by a garden-to-table dinner. The evening concluded with Yin Yoga and a Sound Bath therapy session using singing bowls, gongs, and the Sundanese flute.
Day two started with morning Qigong and a meditative walk through Gunung Mas Tea plantations. Guests also joined a wellness workshop to create natural scents from local herbs and botanicals, ending the day with a fireside circle.
The final morning featured Mat Pilates on the deck and the “Seed of Inspiration” activity, where each participant planted a tree to be cared for by the Plataran team. Guests received a personalised human design and astrology-inspired message before the retreat closed with a reflection circle and lunch.
Throughout the stay, participants had access to the Rahita Riverside Wellness Sanctuary, which offers a gym, pilates studio, sauna, spa, reflexology lounge and jacuzzi. The package also included spa treatments, nightly turndown rituals and health-focused meals.
