The Hermitage, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Jakarta is partnering with singer, songwriter and lifestyle influencer Andien Aisyah for the holy month of Ramadan.
Starting from the colour theme, which Andien chose turquoise to symbolise good luck and peace, combined with the ‘Batik Kawung’ pattern in the background representing perfection and purity in welcoming the holy month. Calling this ‘Ramadan Peranakan’, she further combined this with her favourite tone, fucshia.
As with the food, 1928 Restaurant will bring various Peranakan dishes to the table for iftar. Andien collaborates with Executive Chef Ferdian Tobing in creating tantalising menu. More collaboration comes in the form of Middle Eastern offerings from Al Jazeerah Restaurant or Padangese specialties from Pagi Sore.
Andien also helped design the Ramadan hamper, which this year comes in three variants: the Andien, Aisyah and Date hampers. All consisting of seasonal goodies including Golden Pineapple Nastar, Kaasstengels, Cheese Sago, Chocolate Cookies, Raspberry Jam, Pineapple Jam, Thousand Layer Cake, along with special collectible item, The Hermitage Jakarta and Andien Aisyah scarf.
The final touch in this collaboration’s celebration is a room personally decorated by the singer in thematic tones. The Ramadan Peranakan design adorns the batik on the bed, the bed runner, the cushion, and some photos of Andien and her family adorn the room. This room can be visited by guests and stayed during Ramadan.
