The Many Colours at the First Anniversary of KLEO Seminyak, part of JdV by Hyatt

The boutique Hyatt hotel in Seminyak celebrates its first year with Layers, Unmasked, an art exhibition featuring the unique style and vibrant colours of local artist Ngakan Putu Agus Arta Wijaya (NPAAW).

Since opening its doors last year, KLEO Seminyak, part of JdV by Hyatt has been adding bright colours to the already robust Balinese neighbourhood. In line with its artistic approach to lifestyle, the hotel celebrates its first anniversary with an immersive art exhibition, Layers, Unmasked, staged at the Atrium and Rooftop Event Space.

This immersive showcase features the work of local artist Ngakan Putu Agus Arta Wijaya, known by his initialised moniker NPAAW. He brings pieces from his Penumbra, Mandala, Wave, and Cocoon collections, highlighting his experimental style that features unconventional materials like masking tape, glue, and spray paint.

Curated by Savitri Sastrawan, the exhibition tells a story of transformation, transition, and the spaces in-between, explored through layers of colour, texture, and movement. It debuted on 13 August 2026 with an artist’s talk, which reveals the journey through the creative journey and artistic process of this latest collection.

The day also featured a guided community art activity where NPAAW himself invited each guest to contribute to the piece by using roller-painting techniques over a canvas with masking tapes. After being peeled off to reveal the hotel’s logos and his signature, the tapes were turned into another art piece, carefully arranged into an explosion of colours. Visitors can explore Layers, Unmasked at KLEO Seminyak, part of JdV by Hyatt throughout the months ahead.
