Songs of Experience is the upcoming and 14th studio album recorded by the iconic Irish rockers U2. Intended as a companion piece to U2’s last album, Songs of Innocence released in 2014, which explored the group’s adolescence in the turmoil of 1970s Ireland. In contrast, Experience is a collection of letters written to people and for places closest to lead vocalist Bono against a backdrop of the current political turmoil. Deep, meaningful and at times tragic, it is U2 at its finest.
