Set in the cultural heart of Bali, the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival is one of Asia’s most celebrated literary events. Held annually across Ubud’s open-air venues, boutique hotels and art spaces, the festival gathers over 150 voices from around the world, including award-winning authors, poets, journalists, artists and activists.
Running from 29 October to 2 November 2025, this year’s theme, Aham Brahmasmi: I am the Universe, explores the idea of unity through the lenses of storytelling, identity and creativity. Festivalgoers can look forward to panel discussions, poetry readings, cultural workshops, long-table lunches, book launches, art installations and evening music performances.
