One of Nusa Dua’s most lavish resorts, The Apurva Kempinski Bali, has proudly announced the launch of its luxury villa collection, comprising 43 private villas surrounded by the tropical greenery of the Nusa Dua clifftops. Designed by architect Budiman Hendropurnomo, every two-storey villa comes with a plunge pool, outdoor terrace and utter privacy. The villas are divided into one-, two- and three-bedroom categories, and each is named after a majestic ancient kingdom from Indonesia.

The larger categories boast facilities like kitchens and rooftop dining areas, while interiors are dominated by wood and stone elements, and enhanced with rattan bamboo furniture, woven Sumba textiles and handmade woodcarvings from Bali and Java – combining contemporary aesthetics with historical values.

Singhasari is the one-bedroom villa, sized at 202sqm it comes complete with a private pool, a terrace, king-sized bedroom and outdoor rain shower upstairs. Sriwijaya, meanwhile, is the two-bedroom villa, complemented by an additional twin bedroom, a rooftop lounge and dining area.

The Majapahit three-bedroom villas have access to their own tropical gardens, a private kitchen, spacious outdoor living area and room for six adults and three children – sprawling across 637 to 891sqm.

Go to another level with the three-bedroom Nusantara Presidential Villa, the pièce de résistance in the resort’s villa collection. With no less than 1,379sqm of indoor and outdoor space, Nusantara comprises two storeys, a master suite, a living area and an 18-metre swimming pool on the ground floor, and two additional bedrooms and an eight-metre infinity pool on the top level.
