Drawing inspiration from Bandung’s layered history, the team merges cultural references with contemporary aesthetics to create an authentic and alive space. Local stories, traditional craftsmanship and the surrounding landscape influence every element, from the building’s contours to the choice of textures, finishes and curated artworks. Instead of replicating the past, the hotel reinterprets it with subtle sophistication and a confident sense of identity.
Themes of water, legend and artistry thread through the design narrative. The architecture nods to Bandung’s Dutch Art Deco heritage, refreshed with clean lines and a deep navy palette that bridges old and new. Inside, the storytelling continues. The lobby’s centrepiece, a striking mural composed of thousands of reclaimed batik stamps, depicts tales from local folklore: the wit of Kancil, the myth of Mount Tangkuban Perahu and the quiet grace of Curug Dago.
