Bali Beach Hotel, The Heritage Collection was first built in 1966 as the island’s inaugural 10-storey hotel. It marked Bali’s debut on the global tourism stage. Officially inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto in June 2025, the property has undergone an extensive transformation, revived its historic grandeur and embraced the comforts of modern luxury.
Located in prime beachfront land within The Sanur Special Economic Zone for Health and Wellness, the hotel offers 273 ocean-view rooms and suites. The restoration project, led by architects Gregorius Supie Yolodi and Maria Rosantina, preserves the essence of the original structure while enhancing it with contemporary design and functionality. The iconic tower retains its granite-textured and marble-painted façade, a timeless symbol of heritage and legacy. At the same time, the new tunnel-inspired lobby introduces a sleek architectural statement that complements the building’s heritage.
Upon arrival, guests are greeted by a striking andesite stone mural created in 1965 by celebrated artist Harijadi Soemadijaja in the Sukarno Lounge. Facilities include an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a 24-hour fitness centre and a kids’ club designed for family leisure. Culinary offerings showcase Indonesian tradition through Roso Restaurant, which celebrates the nation’s diverse flavours, while Arunika Restaurant and the Beach Bar offer relaxed seaside dining. For refined evenings, the Sutasoma Lounge presents cocktails crafted from local ingredients in a setting that encourages conversation and connection.
Blending legacy with contemporary sophistication, Bali Beach Hotel, The Heritage Collection redefines Indonesian hospitality while preserving the visionary spirit of its founder.
