The Padma Musical Series makes a return this August with a not-to-be-missed performance by internationally acclaimed violinist Iskandar Widjaja and celebrated pianist Stephanie Onggowinoto. Set for Saturday, 16 August 2025, at the Plumeria Grand Ballroom of Padma Resort Legian, this exclusive concert promises a sensational blend of classical elegance and Indonesian soul.
Iskandar Widjaja, dubbed a “true force of nature” by The Strad and a “rockstar” by The Jakarta Post, has captivated global audiences with his dynamic stage presence and daring performances. From the hallowed stages of the Berlin Philharmonie to the glamour of Carnegie Hall, his artistry knows no borders. This Bali performance offers a rare opportunity to experience his vibrant musical storytelling up close.
Iskandar Widjaja will be joined by pianist Stephanie Onggowinoto, whose luminous sound and technical finesse have graced prestigious venues from Tokyo to New York. Together, the duo will present a genre-defying programme that journeys through timeless baroque, romantic fireworks, cinematic favourites and vibrant Indonesian compositions.
The evening’s repertoire ranges from Handel, Bach and Sarasate to the folk-inspired Concerto Nusantara, commissioned by Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, and closes with Widjaja’s unique Coldplay Concerto arrangement, all designed to inspire both classical purists and curious newcomers.
Early bird tickets start from IDR350,000 nett, with special discounts for students and BCA cardholders. The show begins at 7pm, with doors and the bar opening from 6pm.
