The Gaia Hotel Bandung 5th Anniversary: A Celebration of Style and Function

Through its Work In Style anniversary programme, The Gaia Hotel Bandung explores the relationship between contemporary fashion, Indonesian craftsmanship, and everyday functionality.

A hotel experience is shaped by more than its rooms and facilities. The way a space works, the details guests encounter, and the comfort it offers all play a part in making a stay memorable. At The Gaia Hotel Bandung, this approach has been central to its identity over the past five years. To mark its fifth anniversary on 1 November 2026, the hotel is celebrating the idea through a special programme titled Work In Style.

The theme reflects the hotel’s belief that good design should balance appearance with function. Rather than focusing solely on aesthetics, the anniversary highlights how thoughtful design can improve everyday experiences, from the hotel’s architecture and interiors to its amenities and guest services.

For the occasion, The Gaia Hotel Bandung is collaborating with two Indonesian fashion names, ANS.EIN and Auguste Soesastro of KRATON. ANS.EIN brings its approach to wearable art, combining contemporary style with practical designs suited to everyday life. Meanwhile, Auguste Soesastro draws on Indonesian craftsmanship and cultural heritage, reinterpreting traditional elements through a contemporary perspective.

The collaboration with Auguste Soesastro also introduces the hotel’s new staff uniforms, which are scheduled to launch in 2027. The designs reflect the anniversary theme, showing how fashion can combine identity, craftsmanship, and functionality in a hospitality setting.

The celebration itself brings these ideas to life through a showcase of ANS.EIN’s functional fashion, followed by cocktails and an interactive DIY T-shirt experience. Guests will also get an early look at the new uniforms before gathering for an anniversary dinner.

Five years on, Work In Style is more than a milestone celebration. It reflects the hotel’s continued focus on creating spaces and experiences where design serves a clear purpose, making comfort and thoughtful details part of the stay.
