In collaboration with Mitra Keluarga Hospital Cibubur, Avenzel Hotel & Convention hosted a public health talk highlighting the risks of high cholesterol and its role in coronary heart disease.
To mark World Heart Day, Avenzel Hotel & Convention held a health talk under the theme High Cholesterol Leads to Coronary Heart Disease at its hotel lobby. The programme was organised in collaboration with Mitra Keluarga Hospital Cibubur, reinforcing the hotel’s commitment to raising awareness of cardiovascular health.
The talk featured Dr. Ian Elnathan, an internal medicine specialist from Mitra Keluarga Hospital Cibubur who provided in-depth insights into the dangers of high cholesterol and its direct link to coronary heart disease. He emphasised how prevention through lifestyle changes and early detection is key to reducing risks.
“Coronary heart disease is still a leading cause of death worldwide, with high cholesterol being a major contributing factor. Events like this are essential in encouraging people to pay closer attention to early screening and healthier habits,” said Dr. Ian.
Guests and members of the public attending the session also benefited from complimentary health checks. These included tests for blood sugar, cholesterol and uric acid, allowing participants to better understand their own health conditions.
