With two sister locations at Jimbaran Bay and Sayan, Ubud, Four Seasons returns to the power of nature this Christmas for reconnection, respite and a cause.
Underneath the glamour of gatherings with loved ones during the holidays, a sincere nuance of reconnection lingers, alluding to the spirit of giving back. Four Seasons Resort Bali is fully embracing this, adopting the values of Tri Hita Karana, the Balinese philosophy of harmony between people, nature and spirit, in celebrations for a cause.
The location at Jimbaran Bay draws from the life of bees, infusing it into the décor, culinary delights and even spa treatments. Festivities begin with a tree lighting ceremony that transforms the resort into a glowing hive as the bee-inspired bamboo centrepiece adorned with golden bee motifs comes aglow. It sets the stage for a resplendent spread of hive-to-table menus across the resort’s five dining destinations, including a special six-course Christmas Dinner by Chef David Gavin, a Surfing with Santa brunch and a masquerade-themed New Year’s Eve Bee Garden Party at Sundara. The Healing Village Spa is also ready to chase away the post-party knots with rejuvenations that harness the natural healing properties of raw honey through the Bee Radiant Ritual and Food for the Skin Replenisher.
As an added sweet note, guests can contribute to the resort’s endeavours in giving back. For every stay from 24 December 2025 through 2 January 2026, the resort is sponsoring a beehive as part of actionable preservation of the island’s biodiversity, while a lineup of honey-forward Festive Cocktails for a Cause will donate a portion of its benefits to local bee initiatives.
Over at its sister resort in Ubud, the Michelin key-awarded Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan turns to rice and lotuses to represent renewal, purity and transformation, symbolised by the planting of seeds. The tree here, called the Tree of Intentions, trades the bamboo for woven banana leaves, providing space for guests to write their hopeful outlook. Santa arrives this time on a raft down Ayung River, the serene backdrop of The Sacred River Spa, where the sacred Tirta Ening, Earth Rising and Meaningful Manifestation Meditation rituals take place.
Dining is equally rooted in the organic themes of the resort’s festive season. Restaurants Ayung Terrace, Riverside Café and Sokasi boast a farm-to-table culinary program with rice-themed tasting menus and plant-based dishes using zero-mile ingredients, while Jati Bar incorporates a rice element into its botanical concoctions. Still, for an even more immersive journey, guests are invited to the Day in the Life of a Balinese Farmer experience, where one would take part in planting rice alongside local farmers before enjoying a hands-on cooking class, cleansing ritual and riverside lunch.
