By The Sea, a Bali-founded resort wear brand, recently launched its non-profit, By The Sea Peduli Foundation, to empower local communities.
Celebrating its 26th anniversary, clothing brand By The Sea launched its brand-new non-profit, By The Sea Peduli Foundation, a manifestation of its commitment to enrich the local communities that inspired its essence. The initiative equips Balinese people with vocational training, particularly in sewing skills, using surplus fabrics from garment manufacturing, simultaneously empowering human resources while promoting sustainability and waste management.
It’s the same values the brand has been carrying for over two decades since its inception in 1999, embodied by its signature line of linen garments. Each piece is crafted with 100% high-quality linen, a biodegradable material that can be reabsorbed within years.
Beyond sustainability, the clothing is designed with breathability in mind, ensuring comfort and aesthetics coexist within each outfit, from patterned shirts to flowy kaftans. The same treatment is given to their latest swimwear collections, including bikinis, one-piece suits and swim briefs — a nod to founder Renato Vianna’s Brazilian roots.
With fifteen boutiques and retail spaces strategically located along busy streets or nestled within lavish resorts such as The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali and The Apurva Kempinski Bali, By The Sea becomes something to lean on for those on the hunt for a new look for their island getaway while staying.
