Q: What makes a typical day?
A: Every day is a little bit different, which is something I truly enjoy. My day usually involves reviewing business performance, collaborating with my teams, engaging with clients and partners, and exploring new opportunities to strengthen the positioning of both Hyatt Regency Bali and Andaz Bali. A big part of my role is ensuring we stay connected to market trends while delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Q: What’s the toughest part of your job?
A: Balancing different priorities across a growing hospitality group. Every unit has its own character, market, and commercial needs, but the overall direction still needs to feel consistent. The challenge is knowing when to follow a bigger strategy and when to adapt it to what each property actually needs.
Q: What do you find most satisfying in your job?
A: Seeing our teams succeed and watching our hotels create memorable experiences for guests is incredibly rewarding. I also find great satisfaction in building strong relationships with partners and achieving results that contribute to the success of the business.
Q: Who has been the most influential figure in your career?
A: I have been fortunate to learn from many inspiring leaders throughout my career. Rather than one individual, I would say the mentors and colleagues who have challenged me to think differently, embrace growth, and lead with authenticity have had the greatest influence on my professional journey.
Q: Name one really special thing about your brand.
A: Having two distinct yet complementary brands side by side is truly special. Hyatt Regency Bali offers a timeless resort atmosphere rooted in Balinese hospitality, while Andaz Bali celebrates local culture through immersive and personalised experiences. Together, they provide something unique for every traveler.
Q: How do you unwind?
A: I enjoy staying active through exercise, especially running and long walks along the beach. Living in Bali offers the perfect setting to reconnect with nature and recharge. I also cherish spending quality time with my family and friends, whether it’s sharing a meal, catching up, or simply enjoying each other’s company. Those moments help me maintain balance and stay energised both personally and professionally.
Q: If you hadn’t taken this career path, what would you have chosen?
A: I would have started a hospitality consulting or coaching hospitality business, helping people reach their full potential. I love sharing knowledge and seeing others grow and succeed, and that passion guides how I lead every day.
