Ferrari’s first luxury retail pop-up in Asia, Lewis Hamilton’s +44 streetwear, and a zero-proof agave spirit arrive at Marina Bay Sands this race season. Formula 1, it seems, now comes in hoodies, show cars, and alcohol-free cocktails.
Not everyone in Singapore for race season will get anywhere near the grid, and Marina Bay Sands is counting on it. Across September and October, the resort is bringing the paddock’s glamour indoors. The line-up includes a Ferrari shopping debut, two show cars, and a pair of Lewis Hamilton ventures making their first appearance in Southeast Asia.
Start at The Shoppes, where Ferrari Lifestyle opens its first official luxury retail pop-up in Asia from 25 September to 25 October. Its ready-to-wear, accessories, collectibles, and design-led pieces follow earlier outposts in London and Milan, with New York due this autumn. For those who prefer their Ferraris with engines, an SF21 show car sits in the Tower 1 hotel lobby and a Testa Rossa J holds court at The Shoppes until 12 October. From 28 September to 11 October, the three towers and ArtScience Museum also glow Ferrari red nightly from 7pm.
Hamilton, meanwhile, arrives twice over. His lifestyle brand +44 pops up at The Shoppes from 5-11 October with a limited-edition streetwear capsule. It was created with Singaporean artist Jahan Loh, whose Spaceman art gives the racing motifs a distinctly local accent. Think hoodies, jerseys, or simply a celestial camo tracksuit.
Then there is Almave, the non-alcoholic blue agave spirit Hamilton co-founded with Master Distiller Iván Saldaña of Casa Lumbre. It is exclusive to the resort for a year. From 8 to 15 October, The Almave Circuit serves bespoke Almave cocktails at LAVO Coastal Italian Restaurant & Rooftop Bar, Mott 32, Spago by Wolfgang Puck, WAKUDA Singapore, Yardbird Southern Table & Bar, and Paiza Sky Residence. From 16 October, The Lewis takes over. It is a zero-proof cocktail co-created by the driver himself, poured at Bread Street Kitchen, CUT by Wolfgang Puck, estiatorio Milos, LAVO, Mott 32, Spago, WAKUDA, and Paiza Sky Residence.
“Singapore is a city that I always love returning to,” says Hamilton. With a cocktail named after him on the menu until next September, the city will have something to remember him by, too.
