A Level Above

Strategically located at the start of Orchard Road, The Grand Hyatt Singapore is an oasis of tranquillity for business and leisure travellers.

The Grand Hyatt Singapore welcomes you to your home away from home—an oasis of tranquillity that offers the comforts of home in one of the busiest cities in the world. Situated adjacent to the region’s largest shopping and commercial district and just a 30-minute drive from Changi Airport, the Grand Hyatt Singapore is a haven of convenience.

Staying Vibrant

There are 677 guestrooms—including 46 suites—in the Grand and Terrace Wings, all of which come with luxurious amenities and cutting-edge technology befitting the hotel’s name, which is synonymous with outstanding leadership and innovation. Contemporary and chic in design, the rooms create a warm and relaxing ambience for both business travellers and leisure guests. Room service, personal butlers, a Business Centre and Guest Services Officers are available 24 hours a day.

In keeping leisure shoppers appeased, the lobby of the hotel houses five specialty boutiques including Bang & Olufsen, Richard Mille and Royal Insignia. Other luxury brand names, such as Chanel, Christian Dior, Prada and Donna Karan, are literally only steps away from the hotel, with an even larger variety of shops just a stone’s throw away.

Spanning 7,246 sq.m of recreation grounds designed by the Super Potato team from Japan, the hotel also offers a wide array of in-house activities for guests opting to spend their leisure time closer to home. Facilities include the rejuvenating Damai Spa, a Fitness Centre, a swimming pool, tennis and badminton courts, a studio and a poolside barbeque restaurant

Speaking of which, the Grand Hyatt Singapore’s culinary offerings are among the innovative attractions of the hotel, offering a wide spectrum of tastes, sights and sounds. At mezza9, the hotel’s trendy award-winning lifestyle restaurant, guests are indulged with authentic Asian and Western cuisine with nine different dining experiences from Sushi, Yakitori and Western grill to Thai and Chinese open kitchens.

The hotel’s long-standing Italian restaurant, Pete’s Place, remains popular after a quarter of a century, featuring a salad bar, pastas, wood-fired oven pizzas and Sunday brunch. For a more Oriental and regional cuisine, visit StraitsKitchen, as the live show kitchen displays the makings of Chinese, Malay and Indian delicacies. Alfresco dining can be enjoyed by the poolside restaurant, Oasis, or afternoon tea or evening cocktails taken at 10 SCOTTS.

A Place of Inner Peace

Embodying every aspect of the word, the Damai spa (direct translation of the Malay word for “peace”) incorporates a blend of natural materials from the region, while a play of neutral colours, subtle textures, mood lighting and personally selected sounds contribute to the total experience. Damai is the first spa to utilize a timber that has undergone a scientific DNA-based, legal tracking system, which also scored well recently on a Greenpeace report.

Featuring 11 all-encompassing treatment rooms, the treatments at Damai incorporate exclusive spa products from the June Jacobs Spa Collection. Each treatment room has its own water feature in a nature-inspired setting. A couples’  room features an indoor stone tub overlooking a private outdoor water terrace with an open skylight, while a wet treatment sanctuary comprises a specially designed Chinese aji stone bed and healing area based on water therapies. Guests can even customise the music selection to be played during their treatments using a dedicated iPod, preloaded with music, which is placed in each room.

Contemporary Venues

The Grand Hyatt Singapore has opened its newly revamped Level 3 event venues designed by Super Potato—completing the hotel’s remodelling project with this final piece of the puzzle. Previous expansion projects include Level 1, an exclusive venue ideal for an intimate private meeting or social gathering themed after a modern contemporary art gallery, and the mansion-inspired Level 2 that features an integrated show kitchen. Level 3 showcases 2,786 sq.m of highly flexible space featuring natural daylight and high ceilings.

The largest of the three floors of event venues, Level 3 is suitable for any type of dream wedding one could think of, ranging from 10 to 2,200 guests. The five residences, which have a combined area of 887 sq.m can hold up to 300 guests for dinners and up to 650 guests for receptions. They showcase unique light wood feature walls while floor-to-ceiling windows allow natural sunlight to stream in, providing a relaxed atmosphere for all.

In late February 2015, the Grand Hyatt Singapore held a wedding showcase where couples-to-be were offered the chance to get to know the hotel’s team of experienced wedding planners and be the first ones to view the newly launched event venues on Level 3. Guests were also treated to sample the food menus, view creative floral arrangements, catch a private bridal gown showcase by Le Grand Wedding, as well as enjoy an array of exclusive offers that will be available only on the day of the showcase.
