Ascott Marks 30 Years in Indonesia with 30 & Beyond Campaign

The global lodging operator celebrates its milestone anniversary by launching a year-long series of exclusive stay privileges, regional culinary showcases, and community-focused sustainability initiatives across the archipelago.

Finding a sense of familiarity while travelling often transforms a simple trip into a memorable experience. For 30 years, temporary residents and holidaymakers in Indonesia have found the exact comfort they seek in Ascott’s properties. What began as a dedicated service for business travellers has evolved into a diverse network of accommodation that caters to every type of journey. To celebrate this milestone, the group has introduced its “30 & Beyond” campaign, offering a curated selection of experiences that reflect its deep connection to the region.

The journey started in Jakarta, where Ascott initially established itself as a trusted operator of serviced residences. The corporate landscape required reliable, long-term accommodation for professionals relocating to the capital. Over the decades, the needs of travellers shifted, prompting a significant expansion of the brand. A pivotal moment occurred in 2018, when TAUZIA Hotel Management joined the Ascott family, integrating popular brands such as HARRIS, YELLO, and FOX into its portfolio. This integration enabled the company to expand its reach beyond urban business hubs to vibrant resort destinations, including Bali and Labuan Bajo.

Today, the network encompasses over 150 operational and pipeline properties across more than 20 cities. Managing such a vast portfolio requires a deep understanding of local nuances and evolving guest preferences. Philip Barnes, Country General Manager of Ascott Indonesia, notes that the diverse market has always driven the company to adapt. The current anniversary campaign serves as both a celebration of this shared history and a look toward future growth.

Central to the celebrations is the “Stay Your Way in Indonesia” initiative, which provides accommodation discounts of up to 30 per cent. Guests booking extended stays receive additional benefits, including enhanced flexibility and tailored privileges. For members of the Ascott Star Rewards loyalty programme, the offerings extend even further. Members can access specially designed packages, such as staying in the first Chelsea-themed hotel suites in Asia at Ascott Sudirman Jakarta and Citadines Sudirman Jakarta. The partnership also includes return flights from Jakarta to London, complete with VIP viewing access to a Chelsea FC match at Stamford Bridge.

Dining also takes centre stage during the anniversary period through the “Signature 30” culinary programme. Properties across the country are highlighting specific local dishes that represent the culinary heritage of their respective regions. To add an element of surprise to the dining experience, guests who order from this selection receive a Golden Receipt, unlocking further rewards.

Beyond accommodation and dining, the celebration emphasises social responsibility through the Ascott CARES sustainability framework. The company is organising community initiatives to coincide with World Environment Day, World Mangrove Day, and World Cleanup Day. These programmes encourage active participation from employees, guests, and residents alike. By linking past achievements with environmental stewardship, the operator aims to ensure its presence continues to benefit the regions it serves for the next thirty years.
