Back to Belmond

Belmond properties in Italy have started to reopen their doors, welcoming excited travellers.

Starting mid-June, Belmond has begun to reopen the doors to its Italian properties, welcoming back guests. To commemorate the occasion, the brand has also launched a film campaign to invoke a new nostalgia for Italy. Written, directed and narrated by Emmy Award-nominated director Francesco Carrozzini, the campaign is aptly titled “My Love Letter to Italy” and showcases his personal reflections of his love for his home country with the aim of reigniting the audience’s love for Italy once again.

“I have been staying at Belmond hotels for as long as I can remember and, as an Italian, I always felt they captured the true spirit of Italy,” Francesco commented. “During lockdown I kept dreaming of the Italian summer and I was longing to go back home. Now more than ever, I appreciate what I had too often taken for granted about Italy – its food, its beauty and, of course, its people. I made this film to capture that feeling, to make us Italians fall in love with Italy all over again.”

Belmond Hotel Cipriani and Belmond Hotel Splendido reopened on 19 June, followed by Belmond Hotel Caruso and Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo on 1 July, and Belmond Castello di Casole on 2 July. Belmond Villa San Michele will welcome back guests on 23 July. Across these amazing properties, you can rest assured knowing you will find your own exclusive space with the brand’s signature warmth and hospitality.
