Bringing the golden age of New York Jazz to St. Regis Bali

Dian Fatmayanty from Akademi Gastronomi Indonesia is presenting the award to Debby Setiawaty as Director of Public Relations for the Hotel Gran Mahakam

Throughout the first golden age of jazz, the Rooftop Ballroom at the iconic St. Regis New York saw some of the finest jazz musicians give performances that have since been etched into jazz folklore. Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Buddy Rich, to name but three, were regulars at one of New York’s most influential venues and today this rich musical legacy remains part of the St. Regis brand.

In tribute and recognition, the St. Regis Bali presents “Jazz Weekends”, an intimate set of jazz performances every Friday, Saturday and Sunday running from the second week of March onwards.

Celebrating contemporary jazz, as well as bringing a modern interpretation to the jazz standards played at the brand’s flagship hotel in New York in the 1930s and 1940s, the exclusive performances will be led by celebrated French jazz musician, Jimmy Rougerie, and supported by the soulful voice of the delightful Grace Nathalie.

The weekends offer a perfect blend of legendary dining, relaxed music and sublime service with Friday Jazz Dinner at Boneka, Saturday Jazz Legends at King Cole Bar or Sunday Jazz Brunch at Boneka. Check out the website for more details.
