COMO Metropolitan Bangkok reopens this October after a complete redesign by Italian designer Paola Navone, unveiling a fresh expression of contemporary Thai luxury.
COMO Hotels and Resorts proudly announces the full reopening of COMO Metropolitan Bangkok, marking a new chapter in the property’s 22-year journey and strengthening its position as a key destination in Bangkok’s Central Business District.
All 137 rooms and suites have been redesigned by Italian designer Paola Navone, who brings her signature modern sensibility to the project. This marks Navone’s second collaboration with COMO in Thailand, following COMO Point Yamu in Phuket. Her approach combines local materials such as wood, ceramic, and stone with bold contemporary forms and colours. The result is a space that feels modern yet distinctly Thai, featuring details like textured stone counters inspired by temple walls and bamboo screens reminiscent of traditional Thai architecture.
Founder Christina Ong describes her vision in creating the hotel concept, making it not only elegant but also comfortable.
“With our urban properties, I’ve always wanted to create hotels with spirit which are dynamic and design-forward, but they also need to be elegant and exceptionally comfortable, places where our guests can retreat from the city to enjoy a pared-back, almost meditative simplicity,” she said.
This philosophy extends to the hotel’s dining and wellness experiences. nahm, the hotel’s acclaimed Thai restaurant led by Chef Pim Techamuanvivit, has retained its Michelin star for the eighth year. Meanwhile, COMO Cuisine debuts in Bangkok with an all-day menu crafted by Daniel Moran and Amanda Gale, highlighting balanced, wholesome dishes from the COMO Shambhala Kitchen.
The property also features a 25-metre pool, yoga studio, gym, and the signature COMO Shambhala wellness centre offering restorative treatments. Guests can enjoy curated cultural experiences, including private shopping tours with Club 21 and winery visits at Monsoon Valley Siam.
