Food for Thought Bali


Working in partnership with the esteemed Bali Children’s Foundation (BCF), The Sarong Group is helping the island’s disadvantaged and addressing the issue of generational poverty in Bali by providing training and employment opportunities in the group’s venues through the Food For Thought program.

Many BCF graduates are now working in fine-dining restaurants, including Sarong and Mama San. Sarong Group’s Will Meyrick said it was deeply satisfying to see the enthusiasm of the youngsters in the program and their willingness to work and train hard to attain high professional standards, as well as knowing that the local people were benefitting from the beautiful experiences offered to the island’s tourists.
