Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort and Spa

As the most anticipated new hotel in 2018, Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort and Spa made its debut with a bang. In such a relatively short time, the hotel has become a favourite for leisure travellers looking for modern and comfortable accommodation, businesspeople organising big-scale meetings, gatherings and other functions, and simply discerning diners eager for great food.

Let’s start with the hotel’s magnificent structure, built on the limestone peninsula of Uluwatu – a neighbourhood famed for surf beaches and the legendary Uluwatu temple. Seen from miles away, the hotel’s unmistakeable top is inspired by the leatherback turtles that have come to nest in the area for hundreds of years. The rugged rock wall in the lobby is homage to the windswept limestone cliffs of the area, and the quirky seating resembles Bali’s iconic tiered rice paddies.

The 207 rooms and suites at Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort and Spa are adorned with natural wood, earth tones and locally inspired art. The rooms come with an expansive bathroom and a sleek freestanding tub, and are equipped with an island bar/pantry, where you can enjoy your coffee while watching the news on the widescreen TV.

Each of the hotel’s F&B outlets is created upon great ideas and creativity. The all-day dining Clay Craft restaurant is built around a pottery studio, using the craft as the core concept of the dining venue. While the refined Double Ikat restaurant brings Indonesian cuisine to an elevated level, using Indonesia’s famous weaving craft as the central idea. In addition, Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort and Spa also has a beach club located near the hotel under the name Roosterfish Beach Club.

Rounding off the facilities are the hotel’s spa, which combines locally inspired treatments with highly skilled therapists, and the hotel’s meeting and event facilities, at 680sq.m. it has the biggest ballroom in the area.
