The latest luxury icon in South Jakarta is offering exquisite Ramadan offerings to tantalise the senses.
Ramadan is an important month for every Muslim around the world. Celebrated every year by billions of people, the holy month is the perfect time to gather with loved ones, while also taking time for self-reflection to become a better human being. For Ramadan this year, InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah has curated an array of festive experiences for affluent residents in Jakarta.
For a start, from 13 April to 12 May, the luxury hotel is hosting the Royal Iftar Celebration at Sugar and Spice, made even more special by a collaboration with celebrity guest chef Degan Septoadji, who, along with the hotel’s Executive Sous Chef, Sudiyono, will prepare a modern selection of Indonesian cuisine and Middle Eastern fare. Some of menu’s highlights include Arabic mezze, pomelo salad with crispy soft-shell crab, slow-roasted salmon and much more. Those who choose to spend the festivities at home can also enjoy the hotel’s Let Us Come to You service, where luxurious meal boxes are delivered to your doorstep.
Along with fasting from dawn to dusk, the holy month also encourages people to share happiness and the hotel has classy hampers on offer throughout the festive month. Besides a selection of artisanal cakes and cookies, the hotel is working with singer and fashion designer Zaskia Sungkar, whose Muslim womenswear collections are highly sought after in Indonesia, to create the most elegant Ramadan hampers in town.
Further, the hotel is also opening up a special Ramadan pop-up shop at the newly opened Pondok Indah Mall 3. Located opposite the hotel, this shop will offer a selection of Ramadan hampers and specially themed cakes and cookies to share with friends and family.
