Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup Jakarta

On 15th September, Turkish Airlines held the much-anticipated 2017 Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup Jakarta qualifier in collaboration with Exquisite Media. Launched in 2013 by Turkish Airlines, Skytrax Passenger Survey’s Europe’s Best Airline for the sixth consecutive time, the event has proven to be a huge success. The exclusive global amateur golf tournament is the biggest corporate amateur tournament of its kind, held in 100 destinations worldwide.

The individual Stableford format competition was held at the stunning Jagorawi Golf Club, the winner of which will grace the Grand Final as Turkish Airlines’ guest. For the Jakarta qualifier event, 129 distinguished guests were invited by Turkish Airlines. After registration, qualified participants had a light breakfast at the handsome club house while admiring the lush verdant course. Before the tee-off, guests were briefed on the key points of the tournament. Participants thoroughly enjoyed the good-natured competitiveness of the tournament. The verdant and immaculately manicured fairways and the cool morning air made it an outing to remember.

Come noon time, players returned to the clubhouse for an epicurean spread. Lunch was provided exclusively by Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta accompanied by bewitching wine by Cape Discovery. After lunch, the result of the tournament was announced at the prize presentation ceremony. The winner of the qualifier was Andreas Lesmana with 43 points (HDC 24). The close runners-up were the skilful Iris Rothenberg, followed by J.H. Han, Sinarta W. and Dani Yohana won the nearest-the-pin prizes.

Besides earning a spot in the Grand Final of the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup that will be held in Belek, Turkey, Andreas Lesmana will enjoy a round-trip Business Class flight to Antalya with Turkish Airlines and an all-inclusive seven-night stay at the luxurious Titanic Deluxe Belek Hotel in Antalya, Turkey.

The overall winners of the Grand Final at the Titanic Golf Club will go on to play in the 2017 Turkish Airlines Open pro-am. Past winners have had the honour of partnering famed golf legends such as Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods.
