ArtMoments Jakarta 2025 Returns with a New Creative Dialogue

Taking place from 7–10 August at AGORA Exhibition Hall, ArtMoments Jakarta 2025 promises an engaging and thought-provoking experience through immersive exhibitions, interdisciplinary programs and international art.

One of Jakarta’s most celebrated art fairs is returning triumphantly with a fresh perspective and an exciting new venue. ArtMoments Jakarta 2025, happening from 7–10 August at the AGORA Exhibition Hall, promises to be an immersive exploration of art’s potential to heal, restore and reimagine the future. The fair’s shift to this dynamic location marks a new chapter for the event dedicated to enhancing public engagement and fostering creative discourse.

Carrying the theme “Restoration,” ArtMoments Jakarta 2025 invites visitors to reflect on the universal longing for connection and renewal. Co-Founder and Fair Director Sendy Widjaja describes the theme as “fragile, fluid and deeply personal,” encapsulating the mood of the times. After years of uncertainty, 2025 is poised as a moment for introspection and transformation, which art can powerfully embody.

The fair’s location in Central Jakarta, at the newly opened AGORA, brings a sense of accessibility and inclusivity, inviting audiences from diverse backgrounds to immerse themselves in the creative landscape. This move also responds to the city’s growing cultural vibrancy, further positioning Jakarta as a local and international art centre.

With over 50 exhibitors showcasing over 100 global artists, the fair is set to be a hub of diverse artistic expressions, from immersive installations to archival interventions. Artistic Director Sujud Dartanto notes that the fair’s curatorial vision will explore timely issues such as survival, identity and climate awareness. Among the key highlights will be a tribute to four iconic figures in Indonesian modern art—Sudjana Kerton, Ahmad Sadali, S. Sudjojono and Fadjar Sidik—honouring their contributions to the nation’s cultural identity.

In addition to its diverse artistic offerings, ArtMoments Jakarta 2025 will expand to include performance art and digital installations, celebrating the cutting-edge and interdisciplinary nature of contemporary art. This year’s key initiative is the Young Collectors Program, which seeks to demystify art collecting and encourage a new generation of art enthusiasts to engage with the market. The fair also introduces a public exhibition, “Art and Embodiment,” sparking a dialogue on how art reflects the body, memory and identity.

Through these expansive themes and interactive experiences, ArtMoments Jakarta 2025 reaffirms its commitment to building a more inclusive, reflective and forward-looking art community.
