Marking the start of its festive programme, Avenzel Hotel & Convention welcomed children for a night of celebration, music, and shared goodwill.
Avenzel Hotel & Convention held its annual Christmas tree lighting event on 1 December 2025 as part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility programme. The hotel invited children from Felicia Angle Kids Orphanage to join the celebration at the hotel’s main lobby.
The event began with a Christmas service attended by hotel management, invited guests and around 25 children from the orphanage. Following the service, all attendees moved together to the lobby area for the lighting ceremony, marking the official start of the hotel’s Christmas programme.
Children from Felicia Angle Kids Orphanage presented dance and song performances, creating a cheerful atmosphere throughout the lobby. Their participation became a highlight of the event and added a sense of community engagement. Santa Claus also appeared during the programme, handing out gifts and goodie bags to the children.
Sonia Persia, Marketing Communication of Avenzel Hotel & Convention, explained that the Christmas Tree Lighting event reflects the hotel’s intention to share the spirit of Christmas with the local community. She stated that the event aims to create a memorable moment for the children and to encourage positive interaction during the festive season.
General Manager Selvi Novita reiterated the hotel’s commitment to consistent CSR execution. She emphasised that Avenzel Hotel & Convention aims not only to serve guests but also to contribute to the surrounding community. According to Selvi, engaging directly with children through activities like this helps to promote values of care, togetherness and encouragement as Christmas approaches.

The hotel plans to continue building connections with neighbourhood communities and hopes similar programmes will inspire more organisations to participate in impactful community engagement, especially during the holiday period.
