At Jumeirah Bali, Turtles Take Small Steps to Eco-Consciousness

Jumeirah Bali celebrates World Sea Turtle Day 2026 with Eco Tourism Bali in a collaborative partnership to release turtle hatchlings in an effort to conserve marine biodiversity.

For the third consecutive year, Jumeirah Bali joined hands with Eco Tourism Bali on a commemoration of World Sea Turtle Day, bringing the celebration to the shores of Pecatu, Uluwatu. It acts as a reflection of the global Jumeirah brand’s shared commitment to conserving marine ecosystems and honouring the natural sustainability of destinations across its international portfolio.

Here in Uluwatu, the occasion is marked by a release of 60 sea turtle hatchlings along the picturesque shores of Dreamland Beach as the summer sun sets behind the horizon. Guests and partners took part in the ceremony, watching the small babies waddle their way through the sand until the ocean waves carried them back to their natural habitat.

Eco Tourism Bali played a pivotal role in this partnership, especially with their educational information on environmental conservation and how tourism can play a hand in maintaining eco-conscious sustainability. The experience encourages guests to have a heightened awareness of revering the destinations they visit, including the beautiful island of Bali.
