After wowing the automotive paparazzi at the iconic Geneva Motor show last year, the dazzling 2017 Ferrari GTC4Lusso has arrived at showrooms across the region. Essentially a major facelift of the Ferrari FF, the four wheel drive GT has been seriously reworked and rebadged offering a vehicle with true Ferrari poise, a monster power train and impressive practicality.
Exterior
The first change one notices is the strikingly toned and powerful exterior. The front grille is more imposing, the car is wider and with an angular body set atop 20 inch wheels, it promises the athletic ability of a bronzed Olympian. The front wings feature sleek three-vane side vents paying homage to the iconic 330GTC. The revised more muscular rear features four taillights, quad exhaust pipes and a large, easy-access boot.
Interior
Inside, the dramatically styled cockpit is modern and elegant and although loaded with cutting edge tech, it is ergonomically excellent. The whole interior is luxurious but Ferrari have not resorted to the platitudes of sports luxury normality; far from it. The front seats are supportive and very comfortable ensuring even after a long drive the occupants will still feel fresh. The rear legroom has been increased by 16mm compared to its predecessor, making this a more practical four seat GT. The boot is a commendable 450L which adds to its versatility.
Driving
The driving experience is dominated by the power of electrifyingly responsive V12 engine, which delivers its 680BHP payload via Ferrari’s outstanding F1 Dual-clutch gearbox. The suspension is adaptive; the driver can stiffen or soften the suspension as required, and with all-wheel steering and all-wheel drive, it is less frenetic than many Ferraris. This is a GT that is truly at home in most driving conditions, be it track, town or on twisting mountain roads.
