For A Stronger and Healthier Community

In a bid to help end the pandemic, Chiva-Som is taking charge and leading the way to make vaccinations accessible for those in Hua Hin, Thailand.

Chiva-Som, a pioneering transformative wellness destination, has always placed health at the centre of its offerings and now leads the way in Hua Hin’s vaccination efforts for the safety of the resort’s staff, guests and residents of Hua Hin.

As part of the Hua Hin Recharge project and with the aim of reopening Hua Hin to international travellers on 1 October, Chiva-Som purchased 1,600 doses of the Sinopharm vaccine from The Chulabhorn Royal Academy and donated them to Hua Hin Hospital. Through this initiative, Chiva-Som has now vaccinated all its resort staff, along with a number of family members, while the remaining vaccines are to help with vaccinating the local community.

The Hua Hin Recharge campaign is a collaboration between local government, healthcare and the private sector, spearheaded by Chiva-Som. The campaign is pushing for a safe reopening of Hua Hin, with all medical personnel and 70 percent of the general public vaccinated before 1 October.

Chiva-Som recognises that a successful reopening requires herd immunity amongst locals, domestic and international travellers. As well as vaccinating 100 percent of staff and their families, Chiva-Som is also supplying vaccines to the surrounding and wider Hua Hin communities.

“We are proud to be one of the first resorts in Hua Hin to achieve 100 percent vaccination. The safety of our guests, the team and the local community is our utmost concern. Achieving full vaccination can build trust with the world’s travellers,” said Krip Rojanastein, Chairman and CEO of Chiva-Som.

Hua Hin aims to welcome international travellers without quarantine starting 1 October 2021. For further information, email enquries@chivasom.com or call (+66) 32536536.
