LUKE MANGAN COOKS THE BOOK AT SALT GRILL

The ‘Land Down Under’ can be credited with producing many of today’s hottest celebrity chefs and one of our favourites is Luke Mangan, the proprietor of Jakarta’s glass brasserie Salt grill, and author of five stunning cookbooks, the latest which was introduced to loyal fans at Salt grill, Altitude The Plaza in October.

Celebrating the launch of his fifth release, “Salt grill – Fine Dining for the Whole Family” in true Mangan style, diners were treated to a tantalising four-course dinner hosted by the chef extraordinaire himself. The rare and sold-out culinary event pampered guests with exclusively signed copies of Mangan’s new bible as well as a taste of four main courses taken straight from the Salt grill cookbook, paired beautifully with matching wines.

Starting from 7pm and lasting through the night, Luke’s preparations of the dishes showcased his French classical training and Asian influences, yielding unexpected creations presented with a clean and contemporary twist. Guests feasted on refreshing concoctions that stayed true to the chef’s hallmark style, highlighting fresh and clean flavours that enhance and accentuate the natural taste of each ingredient.  (www.saltgrillindonesia.com)
