True to the nature of today’s luxury travel, the Four Seasons experience has never been a one-size-fits-all. Surrounded by lush foliage, rolling rice terraces, the sacred Ayung River, and the atmospheric pulse of cultural Ubud, Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan is designed around nature and traditional craftsmanship. A recent refurbishment of its seven Premier Suite options make this ethos even more pronounced.
Created in partnership with Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), five Premier Duplex Suites and two Premier Family Suites are reimagined as sanctuaries that bring their residents closer to the mise-en-scène beyond the four walls. Plenty of outdoor spaces still keep guests connected to the panoramic Ayung River valley. But floor-to-ceiling windows framing the views offer a sight for sore eyes even when staying inside.
The interiors are further complemented by natural materials like teak and timber, with hand-loomed textiles and locally crafted details adding a thoughtful touch rooted in Balinese artisanship. And, following the resort’s sustainability-led initiatives, each material was chosen for their longevity and sourced locally wherever possible. Technological incorporations like air conditioning and Lutron LED lighting (which you might not even notice, camouflaged so well into the design) are also environmentally responsible and energy-efficient.
