The Westin Jakarta’s Seasonal Tastes is the hotel’s signature all-day dining venue, offering seven live cooking interactive stations with freshly cooked dishes that range from Indonesia’s best – including a fabulous range of traditional sambal – Indian favourites, a pasta station, regional noodle dishes, a cook-to-order grill and a dessert bar that includes the famed Indonesian martabak updated and healthier, cake bites, homemade ice creams and everything else you could want. There is more, of course, but it’s best to visit and see the extensive selection for yourself!
The Westin is renowned world-wide for its focus on helping guests maintain their well-being through good nutrition, exercise and sleep, and all their restaurants feature what they call nutritious SuperFoodsRX ingredients. This is clearly seen in the delightful salad bar, with a huge choice of salad items, salmon, prawns, Asian-style chicken, edamame, nuts, crackers and finely chopped vegetables. The house-made dressings include a gorgeously hued dragonfruit dressing with raspberry vinaigrette and a richly satisfying sesame dressing. In fact, this is the one of the very few hotel buffets where we happily eat salad! The market-style layout is attractive and the dishes presented on the buffet are rotated so that guests have plenty of choice and can continue to explore the culinary offerings from around the world. With large windows on every wall, unimpeded views of Jakarta can be enjoyed from this 51st floor restaurant.
